Friends are starting to label me as "crazy", I guess it would be the obsessive - compulsive type. It is mild and somewhat annoying sometimes but by harnessing it towards a goal, I achieve it.
I set the treadmill at LifeTime Fitness to 11. It whines and hums as I run at speeds I only dream of running some day for any length of time. I saw that I was running at a sub 6 min pace, I kept it up for 3 minutes. My heart rate was 164 (zone 4) and I felt like I could sustain it longer. I recovered for 3 minutes and then repeated the speed for 2 minutes and then repeated it for 1 minute. I could definitely feel the performs (butt) muscles start to complain. I did another 10 minutes on the stair step machine and finished.
I lost a lot of fluids and neglected to take Endurolyte to replace electrolytes. I swam 1800 m (36 laps) during lunch break and cramped. I noticed that unlisted another pound of weight.
I observed what muscles hurt, it was only a mild soreness. It usually requires a couple of days to cross train with cycling, swimming and Yoga and the muscles heal.
I am optimistic and confident in my progress!
