Conditioning toe running

I woke up a little late and missed the bus. I missed my opportunity to run Suncrest at 6 am. I've slipped a little in my training efforts. I'm still adjusting my training plan to increase speed for a 5k. I have been reading Run Less, Run Faster to help me plan a realistic time goal to achieve.

This morning, I ran up the hill on my toes to catch the bus. I am gradually conditioning myself. I still feel sore in the hamstrings and butt. I didn't push the pace. I was passed by another runner like I was standing still. I mused that sometimes I have run this hill that fast but not today.
