Up at 4:30 am and putting away clothing. The office needed attention too. It is always something to balance the needs of household and family duties. I've had to reduce my workout schedule to catch up at home. The priorities seem to need adjusting as I learn more about what needs attention. My wife has been walking daily around the track for a few weeks now. She played softball and ran a few bases, hit some balls and fielding several plays. She has recovered slowly and painfully. I assured that is normal when starting to exercise again.
I live with pain almost every day. I also live with increased confidence and self assurance. Speed work demands a price and it requires some exertion above and beyond my comfortable pace. Running on raised feet (toes) makes muscles complain that I've rarely felt discomfort.
