I learned there are subtle differences between the Yoga Crow and the gymnastic Frog Stand.
Yoga Crow has feet spread apart shoulder width, fold forward with hands flat on the floor. Bring the palms of the hand together so that the elbows stretch the knees apart. The thighs actually rest on the elbows and it is easier to hold it longer. The Frog stand requires you to hold the legs up, making it slightly harder to hold. It is the first progression towards a planche.
