The end of Triathlon Class

I decided to end my enrollment in Triathlon class. I have learned technique and improved my fitness. Now I must continue applying what I learned. It has been a challenging transition. I feel some resentment and disappointment for what I hoped to learn but didn't. I was disappointed with the results from my VO2 tests and the fact that I declined in fitness after trying to follow my instructors advisement. I am struggling to find a new path to Ironman. I spent more than I could afford for training, equipment and testing. I am trying to find as much value in my investment as I can and move forward.

Vince told me that he will run in the Salt Lake Marathon with me. He asked if I wanted a great time or to finish the race. I smiled and said that I'd prefer to "finish" the race comfortably instead of risking injury. He mentioned running at a 11 min/mile pace. I told my wife about Vince's offer and she remarked that was a very kind of him and how did I rate so well. Vince, you are still my hero. You have helped me when I've needed you most, thank you.
