Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay June 2009 #10
We arrived at the high school about 1 a.m. where we were could rest for the night. Steve and I went to the showers and ate a spaghetti dinner. I was famished! The food was delicious and a welcome relief. I felt so tired and disoriented. I wasn't sure what was going on. I returned to the truck and everyone had bedded down in the truck. I took my sleeping bag and threw it down on the grass, crawled inside and hoped I would stay warm enough. I woke up and saw Steve was near by. It was comforting to know he was there. I remember opening my eyes and wondering if it was time to race again.
I heard Rena stirring in the back of the truck. She had received a call from Tara that they were almost ready for us to meet them at the exchange point. It was 5:00 am and we had only slept for 3 hours!
We were all tired but managed to get up and arrive at the exchange. The sun was rising and i started thinking about our team mates running all through the night. Rena was going to finish her last run.
