I ran on the treadmill with a moderate incline of 4 and a speed of 5. I ran at a constant pace and watched my heart rate steadily climb to zone 1, 2 and then 3. I noticed as I heated up and sweated it was harder to maintain pace. I ran about 20 minutes. I'm curious; if I had continued, what zone would I have reached? I did not feel well today. I feel better now and i can hear better as my ears seem to be clearing up.
I rested all weekend. Today, Monday, I pushed myself a little bit. I woke up and the inner voice was a bit abusive. It was a struggle to get up and out the door to catch the bus. I skipped swimming practice and substituted running to avoid getting chlorine into my ears. I'm a little sore and grateful. I hope to toughen up for the up coming Marathon in April
