Preparing for the Salt Lake Marathon

I ran over 13 miles yesterday. I felt the fire and passion to run return. I started short runs at 5 am, 7 am, during lunch time and after work. For all of the running all I noticed was that my IT band started to feel a little sore and that I slept wonderfully sound all night. I varied my runs from very light intensity all the way up into zone 4 during my Triathlon class at LifeTime Fitness.

I talked briefly with Vince about my concerns and running in the upcoming Salt Lake Marathon. He dismissed it and reminded me that I should do fine; to remember that training runs are more intense then endurance runs. I finally went ahead and purchased a an overpriced bottle of water yesterday to make sure I have one during training. I have a quirk about drinking water while training. I also need to start using the Hammer gel I purchased so I can get used to using it while running. My ears are still a bit stuffed up but they are slowly responding to treatment.
