Workout brings rewards: better health, stronger mental focus and confidence. Can you progress though if you refuse to get out of your box? Do you only run and refuse to believe that cycling or swimming could make you a better runner? Or does it seem impossible that Yoga could make you a stronger man?
How about surpassing previous limitations. To feel that joy of running so fluid it is more like flying, swimming so natural the water feels like a comfortable blanket, cycling that becomes a magic carpet ride through sun dappled groves of trees.
It is trying new things, to mix it up and discover there is much more you can learn by opening yourself up. Run less, run faster!? Furman's studies suggest it is an effective way to progress without injury and it's more fun!
I want to run with Vince tomorrow. I enjoy the freedom of running the trail and enjoying the high mountain majesty. The vista is exhilarating. Born to swim, bike and run baby!
