I practice transition optimization every day. The question is how to keep my stuff organized and ready to go consistently. It includes keeping kits for running, swimming, cycling and toilet kit. From home to gym to work and so forth requires an amount of time to transition and it is so easy to forget the simple things that can lead to a difficult workout like forgetting a water bottle or snacks to replenish at critical moments.
The habits of following routines like making sure I have essentials in my trouser pockets, food packets are prepared and stored in the refrigerator and transferred to my back pack to carry everything I need for the next 14 hours.
Every role as father, husband, employee requires some form of organization to make sure everything in it's place and to build in buffer zones or the cut me some slack time for those occasional manic moments, when I'm forced to move faster to catch a bus or attend a meeting on time.
It all works in a pleasant smooth harmony that allows me to cultivate a calm and relaxed state which conserves mental and physical energies which is an essential race practice.
